My apprentice master finished the picture exactly on 'World Book Day' and while he beheld the finished work he got the idea to offer it to bookshops as an advertisement poster on the next World Book Day.
Harry suggested that in this case the depiction should bear a title or show an apt quotation. The two tomcats and my master brooded for a while on that question, when Harry - all of a sudden - had a flash of genius and titled the picture RATHER BAREFOOT, THAN BOOKLESS. They gave Harry a pat on the back and praised him for his ingeniousness ... Then my master sat down and added instantly a scroll with Harry's quote to the illustration ... while my furry rapscallion was flaunting as proud as a peacock. Well, well, I thought, what would these guys do without me and my distinct dislike of shoes ...? Before I forget it ... Here you can see the new depiction and some details. I'll soon add a sample displaying the scroll ... If you want to enlarge the pictures a bit, click on them. The Lord has rewarded me with art and through art I shall praise his name

I BID YOU WELCOME GOOD SIRS My name is Alisande
and I appreciate you've dropped by. I'm a limner and scrivener - or as you would put it in your 21st century - an illuminator and scribe. I was born in the year of the Lord 1394. Shortly after my 16th birthday, I suddenly found myself - heaven knows through which mysterious occurrences - in the 21st century. Since then I have been living with a couple who very lovingly and affectionately took me in. Since they are both painters and book illustrators, I can even help them with their work. Information about their art you can find on their websites: In the course of time me and my feline chaperone Harry became rather well known and started to receive a lot of messages from near and far.
It became clear: We needed our own space where we can correspond with all our devoted followers and friends. So Norman - one of my two artist friends - set up this 'Chronicle' for us. Here you can have a chat with me and my rascally mouser. Archives
