Thank God this doesn't happen very often to my governor, but this time it caught him off guard.
He just wasn't happy about how he had depicted me. He tried this and that and got more and more annoyed with every stroke of the paintbrush. In the meantime I was of course supposed to sit calmly without even twinkling with my eye. Well, easier said then done, when some ants start to explore your leg, a wasp is on a recon mission next to your ear, a whole family of fiddler beetles happily claim your skirts as their new home and your mouser suddenly recalls that he has some ancient bones to pick with the strap of your sketchbook ... For God's sake! Sometimes you need the even temper of an angel. In the end the governor's wife attended to the case and got the sketch fixed. All were happy - even my master - and I could finally get up, intercept the wasp, chase away the ants, explain the beetles that my skirts were an absolutely unsuitable habitat for the likes of them and ... finally ... save my sketchbook from the claws of my furry rapscallion. Oh, before I forget it ... here you can see the final version of my master's new sketch. The Lord has rewarded me with art and through art I shall praise his name

Thanks for your kind words, mate! I'll let the 'demoiselle' know, that you like the illustrations of her. Don't exactly know where she is right now. Heard the other day that she was up to explore 1876 and had signed up for an adventure trip to a place in Montana, which is called Little Big Horn.

I BID YOU WELCOME GOOD SIRS My name is Alisande
and I appreciate you've dropped by. I'm a limner and scrivener - or as you would put it in your 21st century - an illuminator and scribe. I was born in the year of the Lord 1394. Shortly after my 16th birthday, I suddenly found myself - heaven knows through which mysterious occurrences - in the 21st century. Since then I have been living with a couple who very lovingly and affectionately took me in. Since they are both painters and book illustrators, I can even help them with their work. Information about their art you can find on their websites: In the course of time me and my feline chaperone Harry became rather well known and started to receive a lot of messages from near and far.
It became clear: We needed our own space where we can correspond with all our devoted followers and friends. So Norman - one of my two artist friends - set up this 'Chronicle' for us. Here you can have a chat with me and my rascally mouser. Archives
