in that moment when two knights in strong byrnie - I think you would call it chain mail - crashed into each other. Good heavens! That was a crack! Lances flew into flinders, horses where neighing and the spectators cried out. The knight with the black tower crest dealt such a blow to his opponent that he and his destrier toppled over in a cloud of dust. Well, I can't deny that it always looks spectacular, but actually I never really understood why these men need to risk their lives and beat each other black and blue in order to impress us women. I wouldn't mind to be courted by a handsome knight, but instead of doing this jousting thing for ages, I'd prefer my paramour to, say, help me around the house or the garden and of course respect me, love me, caress my feet after an arduous working day and all that sort of thing. Well, you probably have to be male and of noble lineage to understand these whims and quirks ... But before I forget it now ... further way down you can see how it looked like when those good sir knights clashed ...
The Lord has rewarded me with art and through art I shall praise his name

I BID YOU WELCOME GOOD SIRS My name is Alisande
and I appreciate you've dropped by. I'm a limner and scrivener - or as you would put it in your 21st century - an illuminator and scribe. I was born in the year of the Lord 1394. Shortly after my 16th birthday, I suddenly found myself - heaven knows through which mysterious occurrences - in the 21st century. Since then I have been living with a couple who very lovingly and affectionately took me in. Since they are both painters and book illustrators, I can even help them with their work. Information about their art you can find on their websites: In the course of time me and my feline chaperone Harry became rather well known and started to receive a lot of messages from near and far.
It became clear: We needed our own space where we can correspond with all our devoted followers and friends. So Norman - one of my two artist friends - set up this 'Chronicle' for us. Here you can have a chat with me and my rascally mouser. Archives
